Write about O'keefe painting using Elements and Principles of design
The first elements that catches my eye is the analogous color scheme. I chose yellow, yellow orange, and orange to change the value, compared to what O'keefe had used in her painting. The next element would be the organic shape of the iris petal. This shape appears to be flat and open, similar to a flower petal in nature.
The first principle of design I see would have to be the large sized iris petal engulfing the canvas. The petals balance could be symmetrical or informal because the viewer does not know if the petal is connected to the flower or plucked.

My favorite artist and why.
My favorite artist would have to be Thomas Kinkade. I enjoy looking at the light he puts into his artwork. His paintings appear to have natural looking landscapes; yet have a whimsical touch of magic.
Interpretation of Dale Chihuly Art
I think the artist is trying to light up a space by replicating coral reefs from oceans all over the world using primary and secondary colors. While also bringing awareness to humans concerning water pollution. Or maybe he decided to use glass to try and duplicate coral so people could admire a fraction of the oceans beauty on land.

Can anything be art?
I do not think everything can be labeled art. What do I consider not to be art? Inhumane animal treatment to perform a visual creation. For example, tattooing pig skin.

What do I hypothesize the definition of art to be?
I think art can be described as something a person creates using their own originality from imagination or personal experiences.
